An incomplete copper-alloy rectangular box mount of Medieval date. It is missing part of both terminals due to old breaks, now worn.
It is D-shaped in section and undecorated. One terminal is an expanded flattened rectangular transverse collar with the remains of a central circular rivet hole. The other terminal is flattened before terminating in old breaks.
This box mount measures 79.28mm in length, 15.92mm in width, 4.86mm in thickness, 19.94g in weight.
There is a similar example from London (Egan, 1998, p. 74, no. 160).
