Copper alloy mount, as kindly identified by the finder. A sheet metal strip of thickness 4.5mm which is broken across a wide fixing hole at one end, and terminates on a trefoil with a centrally drilled hole of diameter 2.7mm at the other. Possibly from a casket. Now lightly bent. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1350.
