An incomplete copper alloy buckle or brooch pin, from an annular buckle or brooch, of Medieval dating (AD 1150 to AD 1400).
Around 95% of the buckle or brooch pin is present, with the loop and point being incomplete.
The pin is rectangular in shape and cross section. It tapers to a blunt, now incomplete point. Four (4) ridges are present at the junction between the loop and the pin shaft. The loop would have originally been circular in shape.
The buckle or brooch pin measures 47.5 mm in length, 4.1 mm wide and is 9.1 mm thick. It weighs 4.7 g.
The buckle or brooch pin is a dark green colour, with an even surface patina.
