Copper alloy Roman bow brooch fragment of Polden Hill type and dating to the 1st century AD. The brooch is represented by the head and upper bow only. It employed a spring mechanism secured by a Polden Hill claw type mechanism. The plain wings are short and are angled slightly to the rear.
