Early Medieval, copper alloy, pin, head globular (oblate) and covered with 2.2mm diameter annulets, cut with a ring cutter. There is a collar between the head and the truncated shank. Condition poor. Length 11.8mm, Head diameter 9.0mm, Shank Diameter 2.3mm, Mass 2.20g. Haldenby (Finds Research Group datasheet 44) saw this type of pin as becoming more common after the Viking conquest of Yorkshire in 867.
