Early Medieval, copper alloy, pin, head biconical with a plain band between the two cones. The collar between the head and shank is missing and was probably lost to corrosion. Shank truncated. Condition fair. Length 30.4mm, Head diameter 10.2mm, Shank Diameter 2.6mm, Mass 4.38g. Haldenby (Finds Research Group datasheet 44) saw this type of pin declining in use after the Viking conquest of Yorkshire in 867.
