Part of a handmade ceramic floor tile, dating from the Medieval period.
The surviving fragment is subrectangular, with parts of three original straight sides remaining. On its longest intact side the lower third has been angled inwards, towards the flat base. The tile is evenly fired, pinkish-orange and has occasional large stone and grog inclusions, plus frequent sand temper. The edges of the tile are heavily abraded.
