An incomplete and corroded Medieval to post-Medieval cast copper-alloy annular buckle (c. 1350-c. 1650).

The pin is missing.


This buckle has a circular frame with an integral central bar. The frame and bar are convex at the front, flat at the rear and the bar is triangular in cross-section.
This is drab green and corroded overall.


Diameter: 36.3mm; thickness: 3.9mm. Weight: 9.07g.


Similar buckles have been published and dated c. 1350-c. 1650 (Whitehead 2003: 44-45).
