A probable flint burin, of probable late Mesolithic date, about 6500 BC - 4000 BC. It is formed from a brown coloured secondary flint flake with a small area of cortex present on the left proximal dorsal face. It is sub-rectangular in plan with a sharp point to the distal end at the right corner. Two removals from the tip at the distal end form the burin. It is triangular in section. The flint is 17.8mm long, 7.49mm wide and 3.23mm thick. 0.31g.
