A probable flint burin, of Mesolithic date, about 9,000 BC - 4000 BC. It is formed from a tertiary flint flake which is not patinated. It is sub-rectangular in plan with a very sharp oblique point to the left side of the proximal end. Sub parallel semi abrupt retouch is evident on the left side along the inner edge of the point. Ripples along the sides show that the flake was struck form different directions before this flake was formed. The flint is 12mm long, 7.55mm wide and 2.7mm thick. 0.26g.
