A cast copper alloy knife end-stop dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is oval in cross-section and is decorated with seven circular collars of varying circumference. Three of the wider collars are decorated with small diagonal grooves. The top of the object is engraved with initials, possibly RS. At the base of the object is a slot which contains the remains of the iron tang which is corroded. The object has a light green patina and is in fair condition.
The object is similar in form to seal top spoons which are dated c. AD1550-1650.
