A cast copper alloy Roman possible bow-and-fantail brooch dating to the first or second century AD. The brooch has short undecorated wings and a small head loop. The pin axis bar is encased within the wings and the single hinged-pin extends down the bow's length where it terminates with an ancient break. The bow of the brooch is arched with two shallow vertical grooves. The object terminates with a break which is just below the top of the catchplate to the rear. The object has a light green corroded patina and is worn.
