Near complete flint barbed and tanged arrowhead dating from the Middle Bronze Age. The flint is a semi-opaque amber-brown colour. The arrowhead is an elongated pointed oval in section and is a straight-sided triangle in plan. The tang is broad with narrower barbs to either side one of which is mostly missing - It is not possible to determine the original length of these barbs in relation to the tang. The arrowhead is worked on both faces with covering, scaled, low-angle retouch. According to Green's 1980 classification system this example most closely represents an arrowhead of Conygar Hill type . Arrowheads of this type are typically dated to the Middle Bronze Age period as c.1600 BC - 1000 BC.
