About a third of a base from a ceramic vessel of Medieval date, about AD 1200 - 1500. The base has a diameter of about 200mm. The fabric is hard and fine textured, with poorly sorted, sparse quartz inclusions. The core is dark grey, with light grey brown surfaces. There are splashes of a speckled green glaze on the underneath. The base is 15.2mm thick, and the surviving wall is 30mm tall and 8mm thick. The sherd measures 162mm long, 113mm wide and 30mm tall. 403g.
