Incomplete medieval buckle, narrowed bar from missing frame retains a copper alloy sheet pin within the pin-slot of a gilt copper alloy trefoil buckle plate. The plate is pierced by three rivet-holes, folded widthways and narrowed on the reverse with a break across one perforation. The face has traces of engraved rocker-arm defining the foils. Plate length 24mm, width 27mm. 13th century.
