A copper alloy strap fitting. A decorative belt mount. In plan the mount has an oval shaped body with an integral sub-triangular knop at one end. The body is decorated with an uneven cross-hatching. The knop is undecorated, and the sides are chamfered. In the centre of the body there is a single rivet hole, with an incomplete circular sectioned copper alloy rivet. The back is hollow and undecorated.

Egan, G & Pritchard F, 2002, Dress Accessories No. 1161 and No. 1166 illustrate mounts of similar decorative style although these are bar mounts with two rivets rather than the single rivet attachment seen here.
