A cast copper-alloy strap fitting of Medieval date. It is a rectangular, flat fitting which tapers slightly towards one end. The other end is chamfered and has a circular hole for a separately cast rivet which is present.
The object has not been seen by the recorder and the identification is from the photograph. Unfortunately it is not possible to obtain accurate measurements.
