A complete copper-alloy rectangular strap fitting possibly a mount or belt stiffener of Medieval date.
The plates are flat and undecorated. In each corner of the plates is a separate copper-alloy rivet with a flattened round head.
This strap fitting measures 20.43mm in length, 16.86mm in width, 3.18mm in thickness, 5.97g in weight.
There is a similar example from London (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, p.225, no. 1212).
