Toy
Unique ID: NMGW-195EF8
Object type certainty:
Cast flat disc in white metal or tin-lead alloy. The disc has cast decoration on one face depicting a clock face. The face has a raised beaded border before a plain section and the central clock face, consisting of roman numerals set between concentric circles. The numerals are divided by a single raised pellet. Inside the face is another beaded circle in addition to the cast hands pointing to ‘six o’clock’. The rear of the disc is plain and a fragment of the disc is missing. The disc is likely to be from a toy pocket watch for a child and probably dates from the late 18th or 19th century.
