Unique ID: SWYOR-1F3699

Object type certainty: Certain
Workflow status: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation

A gold finger ring, possibly of medieval or post medieval date. It is D shaped in section and is undecorated and unmarked. As this finger ring is so plain, with no diagnostic features, it is very difficult to date. Consequently, due to the undiagnostic nature of the find, it can not be securely dated to pre-1706 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996. It is 20.9mm diameter (18.5mm internal diameter), 1.84mm wide and 1.02mm thick. 1.23g.

Notes:

Due to the undiagnostic nature of the find, it can not be securely dated to pre-1706 and as such falls outside the provisions of the Treasure Act 1996.
