An incomplete Early-Medieval copper-alloy pin. The tip of the pin is missing due to old breaks, now worn.
The head is bi-conical in shape with a flattened hexagonal top. At its base is a small transverse collar. The shaft is cylindrical in form before terminating in old breaks.
This pin measures 7.55mm in diameter at the head, 2.04mm in diameter at the shaft, 43.54mm in length, 2.71g in weight.
There are similar examples recorded on the PAS database (SF-E9AEA6), (SF-D31C91).
