An incomplete copper-alloy Langton Down brooch dating to the late Iron Age or early Roman period, circa AD 25-60. The wings are an incomplete semi-cylinder; the spring is missing. The bow is long, flat and extends almost vertically from the face of the wings. The bow has a rib down the centre with a convex channel to either side. The bow tapers to a pointed terminal, and on the reverse of this are two lengths of incomplete catchplate, demonstrating this to have been openwork.
