A silver fragment of a contemporary copy of a post-medieval halfcrown of Charles I. Uncertain initial mark. Possibly copying Tower Mint Group 1 issue (AD 1625-1649, North 2200-1).
The coin appears to be a counterfeit: the quality of the silver is quite poor, the inscription on the obverse does not match any known types and the legend on the reverse seems to have been blundered ([CH]RISI/I instead of CHRISTO).
