An incomplete heavily patinated bi-facially worked flint tranchet axe, possibly a rough out of Mesolithic date. It is missing the blade end due to old breaks, now worn.
It is struck from a light grey flint and is roughly D-shaped in cross-section as the ventral face is slightly flat. It is an elongated oval with a rounded butt. It is abraded with signs of modern damage on all faces.
This tranchet axe measures 125.80mm in length, 50.34mm in width, 28.69mm in thickness, 242.58g in weight.
