A Medieval silver voided long cross (AD 1247-1279) penny of Henry III, AD 1216-1272. Mint is Canterbury and moneyer is probablyRobert. The class is definately 5 and possibly 5h. North number 998.

Obverse legend reads [...]N[...]III. Obverse shows a forward facing crowned bust with sceptre. Reverse legend reads ROB/E[...]/O[...]/ANT ('A' and 'N' seem to be ligated). Reverse shows a voided long cross with a single pellet at the centre and three pellets per quarter. Die axis is 12 o'clock. Weight is 1.21g, diameter is 19.0mm, thickness is 0.6mm.
