An incomplete copper-alloy possible strap fitting of Roman date. Only part of the loop and the shaft survive, the remainder of object is missing due to old breaks, now worn.
The remains of the loop is curvilinear, D-shaped in section with a flat back and rounded front face. At the top of the loop is a circular shaft decorated with two circumferential grooves before terminating in old breaks.
The loop measures 23.30mm in length, 11.00mm in width, 7.24mm in thickness, 10.56mm in diameter at the shaft, 14.27g in weight.
