An incomplete copper-alloy rectangular mount of Early Medieval date. It is missing one terminal due to old breaks, now worn.
It is D-shaped in section with a flat back face. At the top of the mount is the remains of a circular attachment loop or rivet hole. In the centre is a zoomorphic design in high relief of an animal head defined by transverse grooves. At the base of the mount is a circular attachment loop. The back face is undecorated.
This mount measures 18.67mm in length, 6.90mm in width, 3.88mm in thickness, 1.93g in weight.
