Incomplete and distorted base of a Roman copper alloy leaf-shaped seal box, the narrow end missing. There are three round apertures and an opposed pair of notches in the sides. The single lug of the lid is retained within the double hinge lug by an iron spindle. Andrews' (2012) Shape P3. Extant length 38mm. Width 20.8mm. 2nd - 3rd century.
