A copper-alloy Rosette/Thistle type brooch, dating from the Late Iron Age to Early Roman periods.
The spring casing is heavily damaged, but a projection at the centre of its underside suggests that the spring was cast integrally. The bow is of triangular section, its base terminating in a damaged suboval plate. A groove with beaded central ridge extends parallel to the upper edge of this plate; at the lower end there are two grooves, beneath which the plate terminates in a point. Part of the flat-sectioned foot remains, extending downwards from the underside of the aforementioned plate.
