A cast copper alloy finger ring probably dating to the Post-Medieval period. The object is in three separate pieces due to recent breaks and is incomplete. When complete the ring would have been oval in plan. It is D-shaped in cross-section. The band is narrow at the base measuring 1.88mm in width at the break of the larger fragment. The band then expands in width towards the rounded shoulders which measure 8.56mm in width. The bezel, which is empty, is oval in plan and would probably have held a stone.
Each shoulder is decorated with a central lozenge, divided by incised lines into four smaller lozenges. Surrounding this is a lozenge shaped band in-filled with horizontal incised grooves. The remains of guiding can be seen on each shoulder of the object. The object has a light green patina and is corroded in places.
