A complete copper-alloy domed type thimble of Post-Medieval date.

The rim is unthickened and has a circumferential groove. The straight sides are covered with extensive circular indentations that spiral from the crown to the base of the thimble.

This thimble measures 21.46mm in height, 21.03mm in diameter, 1.67mm in thickness, 13.53g in weight.

There are similar examples from London (Egan, 2005, p. 132, no. 624).
