A complete and worn copper-alloy dress hook of dress hook of Early Post-Medieval Class A, Type 8.
The plate is flat and circular. There are three projecting trefoil attachment knops, one at the top and an opposing pair at either side of the plate towards the suspension loop. At the bottom of the plate is an oval suspension loop with two circular attachment loops. Neither face shows sign of decoration.
This dress hook measures 57.56mm in length, 42.92mm in width, 2.08mm in thickness, 17.05g in weight.
There is a similar example recorded by Read (Read, 2008, p. 175, 177, no. 664, 675).
