An incomplete copper-alloy D-shaped double-looped buckle frame of Medieval date. It is missing one loop and the pin.
The frame is D-shaped in section with a slightly expanded outer edge. The bar is central and triangular in section. The front face is decorated with a series of longitudinal and transverse grooves. The back face is undecorated.
This buckle frame measures 16.44mm in length, 18.92mm in width, 2.14mm in thickness, 2.24g in weight.
There are similar examples from London (Egan and Prichard, 1991, p. 83, no. 332, 333) and recorded on the PAS database (SF-67EE69).
