Part of a copper alloy Medieval ring, probably a harness ring dating from AD 1100 - 1500. The sub-circular ring is hexagonal in section and is corroded, including the breaks. Just under half survives. File marks are visible on the ring which has a bright turquoise green patina. These are common detector finds, but their function and dating are not well understood (Finds Recording Guide, Geake). The ring is 24.95mm long, 11.65mm wide and 3.56mm thick. 3.34g.
