A copper alloy medieval (AD c.1350-c.1400) single loop trapezoidal buckle with an expanded outer edge. Overall, the buckle measures 15.6mm long, 15.1mm wide and 4.8mm thick. It weighs 2.19g.
The frame has a narrowed and offset strap bar and a sheet copper alloy roller on the outer edge (3.7mm thick). The side edges are broadly D-shaped in section (flat edge inward). The pin is a simple sub-cylindrical strip of copper alloy.
