A medieval silver coin: a penny of Edward I (1272-1307), probably class 10cf3b dating from AD 1306 - 1307, London mint. The coin has been bent, probably accidentally, at some time after its deposition in the soil. It is 18.5mm in diameter and 0.7mm thick. It weighs 1.23gm. Reference: North, volume 2, page 32, number 1042/2.
