Three pieces of knapped flint debitage, all tertiary pieces. Colours from patinated opaque medium grey to dark grey-black with mottling. All are struck off prepared platforms with bulbs of percussion on the ventral face and scars on the dorsal face from previous parallel removals off the same platform. One (2) is possibly from a bi-directional core or the tip of the core as it shows removals from either end. One (3) is only the snapped proximal end of a longer blade and the scars on the dorsal face are from narrower, blade like removals. There is no evidence it was snapped deliberately.
In general these pieces vary from more blade like to squatter flakes. In combination with the scraper found at the same time (SOM-78504F) and other material found previously in the same area, a Neolithic - Bronze Age date is suggested, c. 4000-800 BC.
