An incomplete brooch dating to the early-Medieval period. It is the head and part of the bow of a small long brooch, the rest missing due to old breaks. The head is incomplete, but is flat and cross shaped. The bow is arched and faceted and appears rectangular in section. The lower bow and foot are missing. On the reverse of the headplate is a lump of iron corrosion, the remains of the pin.
The object has not been seen by the recorder and the identification is from the photograph.
