A cast copper-alloy buckle of Medieval date. It is a d-shaped frame which is circular in section and has an offset, narrowed bar for the pin which is present. The pin is rectangular in section and tapers slightly towards the end. It is attached to the frame with an open loop. The frame is decorated with nine grooves in the outside edge, the central one flanked by larger ribs which act as a rest for the pin.
The object has not been seen by the recorder and the identification is from the photograph. Unfortunately there is no scale.
