An incomplete cast copper-alloy composite buckle frame of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. The frame and parts of the integral forked spacer survive, the remainder of the object now missing due to old breaks. The frame is D-shaped in form, triangular in section and with an expanded outer edge that has a projecting triangular pin rest. From the bar end of the frame extends the integrally cast forked spacer, which has two arms that are triangular in form and separated by a rectangular pin slot, missing most of their outer edges due to old breaks. Hinging around the bar is an incomplete, separately cast copper-alloy wire pin. The entire object measures 24.39mm in width, 27.35mm in length, 3.37mm in thickness and 4.70g in weight. This is a composite buckle frame of later Medieval to Post-Medieval date, c.14th-16th centuries AD. As Egan and Pritchard, 1991: nos.322-330.
