A conical lead weight, possibly used as a spindle whorl or similar object of uncertain date.
It has a flat back face and slightly flattened top with central circular aperture.
This spindle whorl measures 17.38mm in diameter, 9.64mm in height, 13.51g in weight.
There are similar examples from Suffolk recorded on the PAS database (SF-195A55), (SF-EFBE42), (SF-4DEBF3).
This is a relatively simple cast lead spindle whorl that could be of any date from the Roman period onwards.
