A complete circular lead uni-face trade weight of possible Post-Medieval date.
It is flat with a central circular depression on one face. The other face is undecorated.
This weight measures 52.35mm in diameter, 26.41mm in thickness, 9.04g in weight.
This trade weight is approximately one and a half ounces on the averdepois weight standard suggests a date range from the 15th to 18th centuries AD when the weight system was standardised and prior to the banning of lead trade weights in 1834 (Biggs, 1992: pp. 44-46).
