A copper alloy double-sided sheet copper alloy plaque, both sides depicting a two-storey building dated 1727, the details incuse. The image is closely comparable with the Old Town Hall in Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA, which is dated 1727. The plaque is pierced for suspension, presumably from a wire and is probably intended as a decoration. Dating is unclear but the plaque probably lies in the date range 1850-1950.
Notes:
"Built by the citizens of Marblehead as the center for their town government, it is a rare example of a public building in continual use since colonial days. Its history is inseparable from the growth of this famous seaport and the evolution of the American revolution and the founding of the nation."
