Pin

Unique ID: NMGW-EEFE66

Object type certainty: Certain

Cast copper alloy pin or stud with a hemispherical head, and probably of Roman date. The underside of the head is slightly convex and no decoration is evident on the head. The shaft is of circular section and gradually tapers to the point.

Notes:

This pin can be paralleled with an example excavated in Colchester No. 2995 (Crummy, 1983) and described by Crummy as almost certainly from furniture upholstery.
