Roman copper alloy bow brooch fragment, probably of 1st or 2nd century AD date, and possibly of Trumpet or T-shaped type. The bow is represented by the lower bow, foot and catch-plate only. The bow has broken at the top of the button, which is of acanthus form and is dished on the reverse. The lower bow is of triangular section, with the catch plate arcing from the base of the button. The foot is moulded.
