A silver sixpence possibly of William III, (AD1694-1702). The coin is worn on each face and has been deliberately smoothed and bent into a very gentle S shape. These features suggest it was re-used as a love token. One face is stamped with []S//IS while the opposite face has been stamped with the letters []N//GN.
