An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame (c. 1500-c. 1650).
The pin is missing.
The frame is convex at the front and flat at the rear. Each loop is oval in plan and similar in size. The narrowed bar is sub-triangular in cross-section. There is traces of iron staining on the bar.
This buckle is drab reddish green and brown.
Length: 27.0mm; width: 22.6mm; thickness: 2.7mm. Weight: 3.06g.
Similar buckles have been published and dated c. 1350-1650 AD (Whitehead 1996: 54).
