Roman copper alloy Colchester Derivative Rearhook brooch, spring, pin, rearhook and part of the catchplate missing. On both wings there is a pair of oblique grooves with knurling between them. The round-sectioned bow is decorated with a knurled median rib, and a knurled rib is wrapped around the sides and underside of the bow at its junction with the wings. Mackreth 2011, 65, CD RH 4.c. Length 38.3mm. Wingspan 33.8mm. c.43 - c.65 AD.
