Complete enamelled cast copper alloy horse harness pendant dating from the medieval period, that is the 12th-14th century. The pendant itself survives complete without much damage, but most of the enamel is missing. The pendant is square in shape with a shield-shaped pattern on the obverse and a plain reverse. The obverse is very worn and not much of the shield is still recognisable. Blazon/charges/tinctures virtually unrecognisable. However, the pattern appears to be barry, using possibly or/argent and one other tincture (unknown). The background was enamelled in another tincture (colour).
