A cast copper alloy Roman pin head of Crummy's Type 3, dating from the Roman period, c. AD43-410. The head and a small amount of the shaft survives. The head is bi-conical in shape with a pointed top. The base of the head tapers into the shaft which has a circular section and measures 2.96mm in diameter. The object has been over cleaned and the patina removed. There is no visible decoration. The object is dark brown in colour.
